The Embraer 170 is one of Embraer's newest planes with its first flight in February 2002. The Embraer 170, along with the 175, 190 and 195 are part of Embraer's 850 dollar program to develop new state of the art jetliners. The commonality of these four planes is a major cost saving effort sharing over 80% percent of the same components.
